Lab awarded 1818 Community Engagement Grant from SLU
The 1818 Community Engagement Grant program is designed to foster relationships between students and the community. The lab is happy to be one of the 18 recipients of the 1818 Grant this year!
The Billiken Bee Lab, along with the SLU Ecology Club and Sustainability Club, will be partnering with Veteran Women of Influence to create and support a pollinator garden in the Vandeventer Neighborhood of St. Louis City.
We’re working to clear brush, create a landscaping plan to benefit native pollinators, and involve the local residents in the process. In the future, SLU undergraduates will be able to utilize the garden for undergraduate research and service projects.
