Research highlighted in Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society's Pollination Virtual Issue
Does size matter for yellow lady’s slippers? (spoiler alert: it does)
The Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society recently published a special Pollination Virtual Issue. The collection of articles ranges across taxonomic groups for both plants and pollinators, and highlights the importance of pollination as an ecosystem service.
One of the selected papers is a collaborative research effort by three SLU professors, including Dr. Camilo. He, along with Dr. Retha Edens-Meier and Dr. Peter Bernhardt, studied the comparative pollination ecology between two populations and two varieties of yellow lady’s slipper orchids (Cypripedium parviflorum; Orchidaceae) in Missouri.
