YouTube Live Science Communication Series

Carpenter bees on a native passion flower

Hi there!

The Billiken bee lab wants to curb your social distancing boredom with some science communication! Spring is quickly approaching, and we're starting to see flowers blooming and bees flying. This means that your kids probably have questions on the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees. We're setting up a series of kid-friendly YouTube Live chats that kids of all ages can tune in to learn and ask questions.

If you have questions or certain topics you want to learn, email us at billikenbeelab@slu.edu or leave a comment during the video and we’ll try our best to accommodate requests.

All of the Live Q&As will be hosted on YouTube. Here are our times (in Central Time) and potential topics:

March 24, 11-12pm CST: Alan - bumblebees, mountain systems

March 25, 2:15-3:15pm CST: Trey - mosquitos, GIS mapping

March 26, 2-3pm CST: Jenny - bees, bats, pollination

April 2, 10-11am CST: Nina -  citizen science, bee, gardens
