Congrats Dr. Fogel!

Nina Fogel recently defended her dissertation titled “Bee diversity and homeowner engagement in urban neighborhoods.” She gave two presentations, one at SLU and another one at Urban Chestnut (pictured below).

For her research, she investigated programs that give certification to residential native plant gardens, bee diversity in home gardens, and data quality associated with a photography-based citizen science project.

You can hear about one chapter of her research on the Earthworms podcast and a little bit about another chapter on KTRS.

Now Nina is off to do a postdoc at WashU studying urban climate change.
